Prospective students and their parents visiting NUS Open House 2009 would be able to find out all they need to know about living and learning at NUS. The two-day event features admissions and faculty booths showcasing programmes on offer, a series of talks where prospective students can learn more about courses and career prospects, as well as a variety of campus tours. In addition, there is also an exhibition on events and orientation camps organised by the various student bodies with the Students’ Union. CLAP! is an arts-based community outreach initiative by the Central
Singapore Community Development Council (CS CDC) using Arts activities
to enhance interaction and bonding between people of different races,
generations and walks of life.
CLAP! Is designed as 3 different platforms, namely Heartland CLAP!,
Urban CLAP! And Street CLAP!. NUSAE performed on 17th January 2009 at Bukit Merah Central, 7.30pm – 9.00pm.
International Students’ Day, 6 February 2009, is a day of international culture exchange for NUS students. Among the events on the day, especially anticipated was the International Students’ Night: an evening of traditional arts from around the world, From Indian dance to *cough* angklung.
Performing in University Cultural Hall was a new experience for most of us. Due to the amount of practice and time we needed to have before the performance, we bonded and had fun a lot! Performers surely agree that this was one of the best performances we ever had!
